Zola introduces a new world brilliantly in this book. He expands on the existing genre with his unique and intriguing interpretation of humans, vampires and their relationships. He has a natural flair for story telling, and keeps the reader enthralled. There are no dead spaces in the book. It is fast moving and full of action, but with interesting characters set in interesting places, from the USA to Europe and India. Different characters tell the story from their point-of-view in the different parts of the book.The book does have some English grammar mistakes, but I did not find that distracting. I was impressed with the depth of research that went into over 400 fast-moving pages. It's difficult to categorise the book. It's romance, action and thriller, with some mild horror. It's well worth reading, and I'm looking forward to his next book.
